Moonshadow (a.k.a. "Pest") is one of the most in-your-pocket goats I have ever met. He craves human attention and is bold and fearless but not aggressive. However, given his comfort level around people, we were very careful not to over-encourage his bids for attention when he was a buck. For 4 years,"Pest" passed his friendly, outgoing nature and his outstanding conformation to his kids. Pest has amazing packgoat conformation and was chosen specifically for this trait. I don't usually keep bucks for more than one season, but Pest was too good not to keep as a breeder. However, when he was approaching 4 years old we decided to wether him and turn him into a packgoat in order to extend his life (bucks don't live as long as wethers) and give him the chance to experience a better quality of life. Pest is now living his best life as a packgoat. He LOVES hiking and exploring with people, and he loves being petted and fussed over now that he's no longer intact. I can't say enough good things about this guy! I kept 4 of his daughters from his last breeding season so I could continue his genetics into the future.
